Privacy policy
Last updated: October 19, 2026
The short version
This site is a static publication. It sets no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, and runs no third-party tracking scripts. The site does not know who you are, and is not built to find out.
What is collected
By the site: nothing beyond standard server logs kept by the hosting provider for security and abuse prevention (IP address, requested URL, timestamp). These logs are not used to profile readers and are not sold.
Email you send: if you write to the desk, the address you send from is used to reply and nothing else. It is not added to any list without your asking.
Newsletter: the Sunday Edit is delivered by email to readers who actively subscribe. Every issue carries a working unsubscribe; unsubscribing removes the address.
Outbound links
Commercial outbound links route through the site's redirect page, which does not set cookies or store identifiers. Once you continue to a retailer, that retailer's own privacy policy governs — read theirs before buying.
If analytics are ever enabled
If the site later adds privacy-respecting analytics, this policy will be updated first, and visitors from the EEA, UK, and Switzerland will have analytics consent denied by default — no analytics cookies would be set in those regions unless consent is granted. Today, none of this applies because no analytics exist.
